Shaving brush, aftershave, cotton wool pads, eyelash curler – many useful utensils for both men and women need to be stored in even the smallest bathrooms. The result is a daily fight for the best position on the edge of the washbasin. The do-it-yourself bathroom shelf restores order in the bathroom. The most important bathroom items are stored away to save space. But they are still within easy reach when the alarm clock has once again failed to wake you up in time.

    Marking out

    1 - Marking out
    Marking out

The first step in the “More Space in the Bathroom” project is to mark out the position of the jars on the wooden shelf. Position them so that the jars will be equidistant and centred on the shelf. (The length of the shelf and number of jars are optional.)

    2

    Drilling the holes

Then pre-drill the holes that you have marked on the board using a thin wood drill bit. This is a job for the Bosch Uneo cordless rotary hammer (Note: switch on the impact stop for this step) because its hammer mechanism can later be used to fix the shelf even to a concrete wall.

    Fitting the hose clips

Before continuing, pre-drill the hose clips with a thin metal drill bit (3 mm, for example). They are then fixed to the shelf with wood screws in the places you have marked out on the shelf.

Last but not least, place the jars in the hose clips, tighten the clips and fix the finished bathroom shelf to the wall with wall plugs, screws and the Bosch Uneo cordless rotary hammer. Eyelash curlers, cotton buds and shaving brush have a new home in the bathroom that is also a pleasure to look at.
