In the depths of winter, one of the best things for everybody is swishing down a toboggan slope on a sledge! But the sledge can still bring lots of joy even when its days of riding the slopes are over: Used as an original coatrack, old wooden sledges can bring a rustic romantic winter feeling into your home.

With the right tools, you can build a truly unique coatrack with runners for your winter coats, hats and jackets in no time.

As soon as you have marked the spacing of the suspension holes on the sledge’s runners, you can use the cordless rotary hammer to drill clean holes in the wall. To ensure that the sledge does not tip forward when being suspended, you should find the middle of the sledge first.

To ensure a secure hold, screw clothesline hooks into the wall. But don’t forget to insert wall plugs first! Hook the sledge onto the wall using S-hooks. This will ensure that it stays straight and can hold weight.
