Building material commonly used in civil engineering. Concrete consists of cement and water (as a bonding agent) and aggregates (usually sand, gravel or grit). Concrete is placed in casings when it is damp/wet, where it dries and hardens. Concrete has a high level of compressive strength. Concrete is divided into three strength categories: lightweight concrete, normal concrete and heavy concrete.
