The compact belt sander is a type of belt sander. Due to its narrow, continuous rotary sanding surface, the compact belt sander is particularly suitable for sanding in small corners, edges and hard-to-reach areas – with a high material removal rate.

  • Composite material
    • Composite materials consist of two or more different types of materials, which are joined together permanently. This gives the composite material other properties than its individual components. There are three main groups: layered composites (e.g. laminated wooden boards or chipboard, plywood boards), fibre composites (e.g. glass fibre reinforced glass, glass fibre reinforced plastic) and particle composites (e.g. concrete, grinding discs).

  • Concealed hinge
    • Joining element that can be used to fix doors in furniture. A base plate with a lever is fitted inside the piece of furniture, while the counterpart, which is known as the cup, is fitted in the door. The lever and the cup are connected by a movable arm strap.

  • Concrete
    • Building material commonly used in civil engineering. Concrete consists of cement and water (as a bonding agent) and aggregates (usually sand, gravel or grit). Concrete is placed in casings when it is damp/wet, where it dries and hardens. Concrete has a high level of compressive strength. Concrete is divided into three strength categories: lightweight concrete, normal concrete and heavy concrete.

  • Connecting plate
    • Simple fastening and joining element in wood, metal and plastic working. Normally only a small metal plate with several holes drilled in it. Screws can be inserted through the holes into two building components to connect them together.

  • Connecting skirts
    • Construction element for supporting large, flat building components so that they can bear more load. Connecting skirts are found, for example, under table tops and benches or behind exhibition walls.

Batteries are electric accumulators. They make it possible to work with power tools independently of the mains socket. A battery consists of two or more elements (electric cells) that can be charged. The most common batteries are nickel cadmium batteries and lithium-ion batteries.

      Cordless drill/driver

The cordless drill/driver is perfectly suitable for cordless screwdriving and drilling work in wood, plastic and metal.

      Cordless tools

Cordless tools are power tools that are supplied with power by batteries. There are many different types of cordless tools. They cover virtually all application ranges: drilling, screwdriving, sanding, grinding, cutting, sawing, etc. The advantages of cordless tools are their independence from the mains power source and their convenient working without a cable.

      Countersink bit

Countersink bits are accessories. On the one hand, they are used for deburring drilled holes, in order to make a workpiece safer for the user. On the other hand, the various countersink bit types have different angles that fit exactly the angles of the countersink screw heads. In order to countersink a screw in a workpiece (to make it flush with the workpiece surface), the drilled holes are enlarged with a countersink bit that has the same angle as the screw.

  • Cross line laser
    • Cross line laser
Cross line laser Cross line laser

Electronic measuring instrument and tool that uses laser beams to project exactly vertical and horizontal lines onto a wall. This enables you to have both hands free when marking because you no longer need to hold a spirit level. The tool measures more accurately than a spirit level and works anywhere because it is self-levelling.

  • Cutting discs
    • Cutting discs
      Cutting discs

Accessory (usually for angle grinders and cutting grinders) for cutting metals and stone materials. Cutting discs (1 to 2.5 mm wide) grind through the material with their front end.

  • Cutting to length
    • “Cutting to length” is the term used to refer to the exact shortening (clipping, trimming, etc.) of boards and strips.
