Adapting means “making something fit”. The various accessories, such as twist drill bits, screwdriver bits, chisels, router bits, files, etc. can differ in the shape and diameter of their shank end. In order to be able to use them anyhow for every power tool, these differences are compensated using an adapter.

“All-purpose saw” is a popular name for a large hand saw that is particularly suitable for fast cutting of wood, plastic and metal. There have also been electronic all-purpose saws for some time now.

The angle drill head is an accessory (attachment) for drills, which makes it possible to drill at a 90° angle in tight spaces.

The term “angle grinder” is somewhat misleading because this hand-guided power tool is mainly intended for cutting (with a cutting disc) metal or stone. When equipped with the corresponding accessories, the angle grinder can also grind, brush, polish and remove rust.
