    Preparations

    All-in-one wall organiser

Have the MDF board and the glued laminated timber sawn to the right size at a DIY store. Mark on the MDF board where you want to fit the shelf. Leave enough space above it so that the entire weekly shopping list will fit on the board! Then mark the three drill holes on the marked line – two of which 5 cm from the edge and one in the middle. Make two more marks at the mid point between each of the marked drill holes for the wooden dowels. You will transfer these marks afterwards onto the glued laminated timber for the dowels. Note: Work precisely, otherwise the connecting dowels will not fit! To ensure that the marks for the wood screws are also visible on the back side later on, use as thin a drill bit as possible (e.g. 1-2 mm) to drill through the marks for the screws on the MDF board.

    2

    Drilling the holes

Now drill the holes for the two wooden dowels into the MDF board and the glued laminated timber, for example using the Uneo Maxx cordless rotary hammer from Bosch. Note: Switch on the impact stop! Choose a diameter of drill bit about 1-2 mm smaller than the dowel size. It is important to not drill through the board, and that the dowel sits right. Tip: Mark approximately half of the dowel length (in this case 4.0-4.5 mm) on the drill bit using some adhesive tape and then drill up to this mark.

    3

    Painting the wall board

Basil, parsley & co. taste best freshly harvested from your own herb garden. And there is a space on the wall organiser for this too. Using a matching holesaw attachment, saw the hole for a herb pot into the shelf.

Before the finished shelf is now joined to the wall board, apply blackboard paint to the wall board and leave it to dry well.

    4

    Fitting the shelf

Insert the wooden dowels with a bit of glue into the pre-drilled holes in the shelf, also apply glue to the edge and then insert everything into the matching dowel holes on the wall board. Afterwards, additionally fix the shelf from the back side of the wall board using three wood screws. You can get your bearings for this using the small drill holes made in step 1. In the lower part of the wall board, screw in three wall hooks for the kitchen towel, apron and shopping bag.

    5

    Affixing the cork surface

Now use a hot glue gun, for example the GluePen from Bosch, to glue the cork surface for the pinboard onto the wall board, and fit the finished wall organiser onto the wall using wall plugs and screws. Your perfectly organised kitchen is finished! And as in any good restaurant, guests will now not only be impressed by the delicious tiramisu, but also the tidy and stylish ambience!
