Ensuring that everything sits in place
You can use cordless and electric tackers to quickly and easily fasten different materials such as fabrics, cardboard and films. You can use them to fit upholstery on the seating surface of a chair or armchair in no time.
Use a cordless or electric tacker to ensure that everything sits in place:
Spread out the upholstery material and align the padding on it. Add about 5 cm to the outlines of the padding (possibly more, depending on how thick the padding is) and mark the cutting line on the fabric. Now you can cut the fabric using a universal cutter or a pair of scissors.
Align the padding on the cut fabric with the base panel facing up. Fold in the fabric on one side and fix it with one or two tacker nails in the middle of the panel. Then stand the upholstery up, smooth out the fabric and fix the opposite side in the middle with one or two tacker nails. Do the same with the other two sides. Then staple the fabric on each side from the middle outwards towards the edge.
Finally, fold in the fabric at the corners. Make two open folds where the seating surface is rounded, otherwise make only one fold. Staple the folds to the panel.
